On the afternoon of November 7, Military Hospital 175 said that 40 patients came to the emergency room from morning to evening yesterday (November 6) with various symptoms: fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and signs of mild to moderate dehydration.
According to the information, the patients are students, office workers, laborers... The youngest case is 8 years old and the oldest is 83 years old. The reason for the emergency: suspected poisoning after eating bread at a sidewalk shop on Nguyen Thai Son street.
After treatment, 38 cases were discharged for home monitoring. Two patients were admitted to the Gastroenterology Department for intestinal infections. The patients' condition has now stabilized.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety said it is investigating and handling the case.
