Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Bui Vinh Quang said that on average, each year, Hanoi Oncology Hospital examines and treats more than 300,000 people and deploys many advanced and modern techniques. The hospital develops 5 pillars synchronously, including: Surgery, internal medicine, combining both surgery and internal medicine, nuclear medicine and palliative care.
Currently, Hanoi Oncology Hospital is a specialized hospital under the Hanoi Department of Health , and is also the final level hospital specializing in Oncology in the country.

The Hanoi Oncology Hospital's Clinical Research Unit has carried out 48 clinical trials, helping patients access many advanced treatment methods free of charge, while contributing scientific data to serve public medical research.

Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen assessed that after 25 years of development, Hanoi Oncology Hospital has become a specialized oncology facility with a staff of more than 700, including 160 doctors and 81% of doctors with postgraduate qualifications.
The hospital has invested in many modern equipment such as linear accelerator radiotherapy system, PET/CT scanner, DSA angiography machine, SPECT scintigraphy, endoscopic surgery, Realtime-PCR testing system... contributing to improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment effectiveness.
The Deputy Minister of Health suggested that the hospital continue to develop a high-tech center for cancer diagnosis and treatment. At the same time, it is necessary to promote training and research, connect the cancer system at all levels, strengthen international cooperation and digital transformation...
The Hanoi Cancer Prevention Conference 2025 gathered more than 500 experts, with 100 scientific reports, including 27 reports from international experts from the United States, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, India...
The topics discussed include: Clinical oncology; diagnostic imaging; nuclear medicine; pathology; palliative care; clinical pharmacy...
Notably, the workshop included specialized sessions of the ECHO (distance capacity building training) and VTOP (multidisciplinary cancer treatment cooperation) programs, helping to connect the national cancer network.
