The 300th liver transplant was performed on a 51-year-old male patient, whose liver donor was his wife. The liver transplant was successfully performed by doctors at the 108 Military Central Hospital on November 6.

Five years ago, the patient was diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma and underwent laparoscopic left hepatic lobectomy. The patient had a history of hepatitis B, continuous treatment for 25 years, and type 2 diabetes.

After surgery, the patient's health was stable and he had regular check-ups. Recently, the patient went for a check-up and discovered that two tumors had recurred in the 8th segment. Liver transplantation was the best treatment option for the patient.
