Environmental protection tax rate on gasoline, oil, and grease

Environmental protection tax on gasoline (except ethanol) will be 2,000 VND/liter; diesel, fuel oil, and lubricants 1,000 VND/liter.

The environmental protection tax on gasoline (except ethanol) will be 2,000 VND/liter.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed and issued Resolution No. 109/2025/UBTVQH15 on environmental protection tax rates for gasoline, oil, and grease.

The National Assembly Standing Committee resolved that from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026, the environmental protection tax rate for gasoline (except ethanol) will be VND2,000/liter; diesel, fuel oil, and lubricants VND1,000/liter; grease VND1,000/kg; and kerosene VND600/liter.

The tax rate on jet fuel is 1,500 VND/liter.

The environmental protection tax rate for gasoline, oil, and grease from January 1, 2027 onwards shall be implemented according to the provisions of Resolution No. 579/2018/UBTVQH14 dated September 26, 2018 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the Environmental Protection Tax Schedule.
