Within the framework of the opening ceremony of the “Bac Son Golden Season 2025” Festival, the People’s Committee of Bac Son commune received the Best Tourist Village 2025 award from the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) for Quynh Son Community Tourism Village (Bac Son commune, Lang Son province). This is the first time a community tourism village in Lang Son province and one of the few community tourism villages in Vietnam has been honored to receive this international award.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the leader of the People's Committee of Bac Son commune emphasized: After many years of organization, the "Bac Son Golden Season" Festival has become an annual cultural - tourism activity of important significance, aiming to honor the labor achievements of farmers, promote the natural landscape and cultural beauty of the revolutionary land of Bac Son to domestic and foreign tourists. The festival is not only an opportunity for tourists to explore and experience, but also an opportunity for the locality to promote tourism development associated with preserving traditional culture.
In particular, the Best Tourist Village Award 2025 by the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) for Quynh Son Community Tourism Village is a worthy recognition of the persistent efforts of the government and people of Bac Son commune in general and Quynh Son Community Tourism Village in particular in preserving and promoting national cultural identity, developing tourism associated with the community, protecting the environment and sustainable development.
This is the third time the "Bac Son Golden Season" Festival has been held. However, unlike the previous two times (2023 and 2024) organized by the district level, this is the first time the festival has been organized by the People's Committee of Bac Son commune after the two-level local government model officially came into operation. Bac Son commune continues to build the "Bac Son Golden Season" Festival into the main annual festival of the commune.
