Attending the conference were representatives of the General Statistics Office and over 350 delegates representing the People's Committees of localities, the General Statistics Offices of provinces and cities across the country. On the side of Quang Ninh province, there was comrade Vu Van Dien, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vu Van Dien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: The 2026 Economic Census is of special importance, taking place in the context of the whole country implementing the two-level local government model, the first phase of implementing the Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2026-2030. In recent times, Quang Ninh province has always attached importance to statistical work, which is an important tool in analyzing, planning and managing socio-economic development. The province has promptly and strongly applied digital technology, modernized statistical work, and built a shared database to serve management and administration. Quang Ninh will create the most favorable conditions for the Ministry of Finance and the General Statistics Office to conduct training to achieve the best results, contributing to the successful implementation of the 2026 Economic Census.
The 2026 Economic Census is a nationwide survey, collecting information from 6 groups of production and business units and religious and belief establishments; conducted in two phases in January and April 2026. The survey is important in providing comprehensive and accurate data to serve strategic planning and socio-economic development for the 2026-2030 period, contributing to the building of a digital government, digital economy, and digital society in the new era.
The training conference will take place over 4 days (from November 10 to 13), aiming to help delegates master investigation plans, business processes, inspection and supervision instructions, data processing and practice using CAPI software, Operation Web, Monitoring Web along with AI application tools and digital maps in information collection.
