1,000 more workers urgently restore power grid in Gia Lai and Dak Lak after storm Kalmaegi

(Chinhphu.vn) - After dispatching more than 1,300 people to the scene from November 7, on the morning of November 9, the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) continued to increase 1,000 officers, engineers and workers from member units to Gia Lai and Dak Lak to support the restoration of the power grid after storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi).

Workers are urgently restoring power to an area flooded after storm No. 13.

EVNCPC is mobilizing maximum human resources and means, striving to soon restore power to more than 360,000 customers still without power.

As of 12:00 on November 9, EVNCPC has restored power to 1,292,225 customers, reaching 78.16% of the total number of affected customers. Currently, 361,171 customers (accounting for 7.31% of the total number of EVNCPC customers) are being focused on by units to soon restore full power.

On the 110kV grid, units have restored 29/30 incidents and removed lines, only one 110kV line belonging to Gia Lai Electricity Company (line 173/Hoai Nhon - 177/220 Phu My) is being urgently handled. 100% of 110kV transformer stations have resumed operation, ensuring the main power supply for the regional power system.

On the morning of November 9, (EVNCPC continued to send 1,000 more officers, engineers and workers from member units to Gia Lai and Dak Lak .

On the medium voltage grid, EVNCPC recorded 468 incidents, of which 334 have been restored (71.37%), and 134 are being handled. Of the total 19,563 distribution transformer stations affected, 15,388 have been restored (78.66%), and 4,175 stations are out of power. The estimated unrestored capacity is about 203.6 MW, equivalent to 5.35% of the maximum load of the entire system.

At Gia Lai Electricity Company, 108/208 incidents have been restored, while 278,905 customers and 3,145 distribution transformer stations still lost power, with an estimated loss of 169.7 MW.

At Dak Lak Electricity Company, 79/113 incidents have been restored, but 82,266 customers and 1,030 distribution transformer stations still lost power, with an estimated loss of 33.9 MW.

Although many areas are still isolated and damaged after the storm, EVNCPC's forces are still working continuously on the scene, urgently handling incidents to soon restore stable electricity to people in the Central Highlands.
