On November 9, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung and his delegation inspected the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway at Interchange 279 (Bac Quang Commune, Tuyen Quang Province). Also present were Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh, leaders of departments, branches and construction units.
The Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang Expressway Project (old) phase 1 has a total investment of 8,800 billion VND, the section passing through Tuyen Quang province is 77km long. Currently, the project has completed site clearance, construction materials have been supplied to meet the schedule. The entire route has 7 construction packages, including 5 road packages, 1 bridge package and 1 lighting system package.
To date, construction units have deployed 6/6 bidding packages, mobilized more than 1,000 workers, nearly 1,100 machines and equipment, and organized 114 construction teams along the entire route. The cumulative construction value reached 51.3% of the volume. However, in October, prolonged rainy and flooded weather caused some items to be temporarily suspended, affecting the progress of roadbed construction.
For the section passing through Ha Giang province (old), now Tuyen Quang province, phase 1 of the project has a length of 27.48km, with a total investment of more than 5,028 billion VND. Currently, the 2-lane road section is being implemented as planned; the 4-lane expansion section is in the process of designing construction drawings.
At the 279 intersection inspection point, after listening to the reports of the investor and contractor, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung praised the serious and responsible working spirit of the construction units.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the strategic significance of the Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang Expressway project, considering it a key infrastructure project, opening up the driving force for socio-economic development for the Northeast region. Contractors and consultants have added human resources and equipment, proactively worked in 3 shifts, 4 shifts, taking advantage of favorable weather to speed up progress, compensate for slow volume; ensure technical quality and labor safety.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested Tuyen Quang province to continue to closely direct and promptly remove difficulties, especially in material sources, transportation and treatment of weak soil, striving to complete the route in 2025.
Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung inspected the landscape dam project in Ha Giang 1 ward, requesting the locality and construction unit to mobilize maximum human resources and equipment, and complete the remaining items on schedule. The Deputy Prime Minister requested to soon develop an effective management and operation plan so that the project can promote the effect of regulating water and creating urban landscape after handover.
During the working program in Tuyen Quang, the Deputy Prime Minister and provincial leaders inspected the landslide situation on National Highway 2 through the area of Ha Giang 1 ward, requesting specialized agencies to urgently handle it, ensuring traffic safety and people's lives.
Accelerating the progress of key infrastructure projects, especially the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway, is expected to shorten travel time, connect economic development regions, and contribute to promoting sustainable development in the midland and mountainous regions of the North.
