Da Nang Traffic Police increase forces on duty to prevent and fight storm No. 13.

According to forecasts, storm Kalmaegi is likely to make landfall in the Quang Ngai - Gia Lai area (east, bordering Binh Dinh) at around 7:00 p.m. the same day, with the strongest wind reaching level 10-13, gusting to level 15-16, causing heavy to very heavy rain over a wide area.

The Traffic Police Department said that strong winds and heavy rains can cause trees, billboards and signs on the highway to fall, especially in conditions of limited night visibility, posing a serious traffic safety risk.

To proactively respond, the authorities have set up barricades, arranged officers on duty at checkpoints, instructed vehicles to stop moving, and advised people and drivers to closely monitor weather conditions, adjust travel routes accordingly, and not stop, park, or take shelter from storms on the highway.

In case of emergency or need assistance, immediately contact the Traffic Police Department hotline at 1900.8099 for timely guidance and assistance.

Faced with the complicated developments of storm Kalmaegi, which is forecast to directly affect Da Nang city, the Traffic Police Department and the City Police proactively and synchronously deployed many measures to ensure traffic order and safety, minimizing damage caused by storms and rains.

Up to now, the traffic police force has put up warning signs, erected barriers, and instructed people not to move into dangerous areas when there are strong winds, deep floods or landslides; at the same time, coordinated with relevant units to call on boats to take shelter in safe places and guide them to anchor properly.

The Traffic Police Department continues to promote propaganda, recommending that people proactively reinforce their houses and construction works (especially those with cranes near traffic routes), and strictly follow the instructions of the authorities when the storm hits.
