
New bus route expected to boost tourism development in Ho Chi Minh City
This is the Saigon - Tan Dinh open-top double-decker bus route, the journey passes through many iconic buildings of Ho Chi Minh City such as Nguyen Hue walking street, City Theater, Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, City Post Office , Tan Dinh market, Bach Dang Wharf, Ba Son bridge, Zoo, Ong Ba Chieu Mausoleum... with a total of 14 stops.
On the bus, passengers are equipped with multilingual automatic commentary headphones, electronic screens, free WiFi, mineral water and candy served throughout the journey.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vinh, Deputy Head of Transport Management Department - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, this is the 5th open-top double-decker bus route in the city.
The operation of the Saigon - Tan Dinh route will create more attractive tourism products, contributing to promoting urban tourism development. Ho Chi Minh City encourages businesses to continue expanding routes to new Ho Chi Minh City areas such as Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Visitors will be able to experience it for free for 3 days, from November 11 to 13. The route departs at 133 Nguyen Hue, operating from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily. After the promotional period, the starting ticket price is 145,000 VND/trip.
