Solid foundation

Since the end of 2024, Agribank has started the preparation phase, reviewing internal policies, upgrading technology infrastructure and testing key products. By 2025, the bank will accelerate the synchronous deployment of digital solutions, expand national data connections, replicate the smart transaction point model, ensuring that all staff, branches and transaction offices participate, and that people and businesses in all regions of the country benefit.

According to this process, projects such as upgrading Core Banking, deploying Open SmartBank and Agribank Plus, applying SoftPOS, connecting eKYC with population database... are all assigned specific timelines and linked to responsible people.

Core solution - Bridge between banks and customers

The core products are not simply software, but a real bridge that brings banks closer to customers. Open SmartBank and Agribank Plus allow opening accounts, depositing - withdrawing - borrowing online anytime, anywhere; SoftPOS turns smartphones into card acceptance points, helping small traders and business households easily access cashless payments; Open API expands cooperation with fintech and retail businesses, integrating Agribank services into the national digital ecosystem. In addition, AI, Big Data, and Cloud are applied to personalize services, detect risks early and optimize customer experience.

Regarding the transaction model, by mid-2025, Agribank will deploy more than 2,200 smart transaction counters across the system, helping to shorten service time, reduce administrative procedures and shift the focus from "procedures" to "value-added consulting."

People - the center of digital transformation

Technology only works when there are people behind it who are clearly responsible. Plan 77, issued by the Agribank Party Committee on February 28, 2025, emphasizes the principle of "5 clear": clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear time, clear results and requires the inclusion of digitalization criteria in the action program. Each unit must develop an annual digital transformation plan, with the head directly responsible and reporting quarterly.

In this roadmap, the role of Agribank staff is key. Each staff must practice digital transformation: opening digital accounts, using banking applications, and guiding customers at the counter.

A training program on science, technology and digital transformation

Digital human resources are prioritized for strong development. From the end of 2024, Agribank will deploy the "Digital Learning" program, build a digital skills training framework for staff at all levels, and cooperate with universities and research institutes to train and select talents. Recruitment and remuneration policies are adjusted to prioritize technology, data, and system administration personnel.

At the same time, Agribank encourages internal innovation through initiative competitions, replication of effective solutions, and multi-channel communication and customer guidance activities.

Security - Keeping customer trust

As digital services spread to remote areas, security and risk management become more urgent than ever. Agribank operates a multi-layered protection strategy, combining technical measures, management policies and strict monitoring mechanisms.

Along with prevention, Agribank improves response capacity, organizes periodic information security drills, applies AI and machine learning to analyze behavior, detect unusual transactions and forecast risks.

Customer trust is also reinforced by the quality of experience: regular satisfaction surveys, product updates based on feedback, and personalized service development.

Towards an inclusive digital society

“No one is outside the digital transformation” is specified by targets, plans, responsibilities and results at each branch and each staff member. When Agribank brings digital services to farmers, small traders, workers, and village staff, the bank has contributed to realizing the national goal of building a digital economy and digital society.

The road ahead is still long, but if the roadmap is implemented seriously, persistently and responsibly, with clear reporting and evaluation according to the guiding documents, that vision will become a reality: Digital services to every citizen - Trust is kept - Agribank continues to be the core force of national digital transformation.
