Agribank accompanies flood victims in Hue city

On November 6, Agribank Central and Hue Branch visited and provided social security support to localities and units deeply flooded in Hue city, contributing to overcoming the consequences of floods.

On November 6, the working delegation of Agribank Representative Office in the Central region and Agribank Hue Branch visited, encouraged, and presented social security support to localities and units in Hue city that were deeply flooded, causing heavy damage.

Specifically, Agribank supported 20 deeply flooded communes and wards, each locality with 50 million VND; at the same time, donated 1 billion VND to schools, medical centers and some units that suffered heavy damage to contribute to quickly overcoming the consequences of floods.

In addition, the working delegation directly visited and presented support gifts to Quang Dien commune, Dan Dien commune, Duong No ward and Hue University of Sciences - places that were also seriously affected in the recent floods.

At the donation ceremony, Mr. Tran Huu Trinh, Deputy Head of Agribank Representative Office in the Central region, shared: “In parallel with business tasks, Agribank always attaches importance to social security work and accompanies the government and people to overcome natural disasters. We hope that this timely support will contribute to sharing difficulties, helping localities and units to soon stabilize their lives and restore education and health activities.”

During the days of flood, working groups of Agribank in the Central region and branches in the area quickly arrived at the affected areas, handing out practical gifts and providing financial support to schools and medical facilities that were deeply flooded.

In addition, Agribank is also urgently reviewing and calculating the losses of customers and production households to have appropriate credit support policies, debt relief, interest rate reduction, etc., to help farmers and businesses soon resume production and stabilize their lives after natural disasters.

With a total social security sponsorship of 2 billion VND, Agribank hopes to join hands with Hue city to overcome difficulties and recover sustainably, in line with the spirit of "banking for the community".
