HueWACO provides mobile water to people in flood-affected areas

HNN.VN - From October 29 to November 1, Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company (HueWACO) arranged tank trucks with 30 water supply trips, serving nearly 5,800 households in isolated areas, promptly providing essential domestic water for people during and after the flood.

In Khe Tre commune (former Nam Dong district), about 400 households were isolated in K4, Thanh An, Phu Mau, and Phu Hoa villages during the flood in late October 2025. In addition to providing food and helping people clean their houses, the local government coordinated with HueWACO to supply domestic water by tanker trucks to isolated households with difficulty in traveling.

For many days now, people in Ka Tu village (Khe Tre commune) have been provided with adequate water for daily use despite the difficult transportation infrastructure. HueWACO has transported each mobile water tank to the collection point so that people can easily transport it home for use day and night. According to statistics, about 380 households in Nam Dong and Khe Tre communes have been provided with free water for daily use during the recent flood.

According to HueWACO, with the motto "Where the water recedes, there will be a solution", the unit has coordinated with communes and wards to deploy mobile teams, making efforts to approach factories, pumping stations and pipelines to quickly fix all problems, ensuring stable and safe water supply for people.

The company has coordinated booster pumps and operated backup generators to restore affected works and focused on checking water quality, flushing the network, disinfecting the entire system, ensuring water meets hygiene and safety standards.

In addition, HueWACO also increased the production of bottled drinking water, coordinated with the Hue City Military Command and a number of wards and communes in the area to promptly distribute more than 2,000 cartons of Bach Ma and I-On Health water (equivalent to 50,000 500ml bottles); the City Border Guard Command provided 500 cartons to households in deeply flooded and isolated areas, ensuring people have a safe source of drinking water during the rainy and flood days.
