On National Highway 14E, traffic was blocked due to a landslide at km84+400 - km84+850 in Phuoc Hiep commune. The volume of landslide was more than 40,000m3 .
Project Management Board 4 (the unit managing the National Highway 14E Improvement and Upgrade Project) mobilized 4 contractors of the XD03 package to focus on clearing the landslide. The geology of the slope hills through the above route is weak, the distance to move and dump the waste is quite far and the soil is wet, so it takes a long time. It is expected that on November 10, 1 lane will be opened to traffic.
Engineer Nguyen Cong Quy, Deputy Executive Director of the XD03 package (Project Management Board 4) shared that while waiting for the road to be cleared for traffic, the management unit directed the contractor to build a temporary road for motorbikes and non-motorized vehicles to travel. If it does not rain, the temporary road will be completed on November 6.
Mr. Huynh Le Tuan, Deputy Director of the Quang Nam Traffic Infrastructure Management Center (Department of Construction) said that on the afternoon of November 5, two units that regularly manage and maintain National Highway 40B had cleared the first section of hundreds of landslides to km136+000 (Tra Linh commune).
The section from km136+000 to the end of Da Nang city (route km141+000, Tra Linh commune, bordering Quang Ngai province) was jammed at route km136+300. The management unit is continuing to clean up, and on November 6, a section of the road was opened to traffic.
In the Northwest, DT606 route has been cleared and opened to traffic for a stretch up to km62+000 (Hung Son commune). The section from km62+000 to km69+000 (Hung Son commune) is still blocked due to landslides at 4 key locations. The management unit is working hard to clean up and is expected to open to traffic for a stretch on November 7.

Mr. Le Van Minh Nga, Deputy Director of the Danang Infrastructure Maintenance Board (Department of Construction) said that the DT601 route had landslides on the foundation, cement concrete road surface, and negative slope at km20+100 (Hai Van ward) with a length of about 100m.
The entire roadbed, negative slope, and retaining wall (La Son - Hoa Lien highway) were eroded and completely damaged. The management unit has barricaded and prevented vehicles from passing through this location. The roadbed and surface at km33+900 also collapsed with a depth of about 7m and a length of about 50m.
In a quick report to the Department of Construction of Da Nang City, Road Management Area III said that through Da Nang City, Truong Son Dong Street has 6 locations with traffic jams.
The unit has given strong instructions to clear the road, but cannot fix it immediately due to the large volume and the ongoing landslides. At the same time, instructions were given to divert traffic through National Highway 1, Ho Chi Minh Road and local roads.
Road Management Area III said that the Ho Chi Minh road section La Son - Hoa Lien (handed over to the Ho Chi Minh road project management board for expansion) has 3 traffic jams; at km50+700 - km50+800, longitudinal cracks appeared and half of the road surface collapsed.
Up to now, the road surface has continued to sink 2-3m compared to the existing road surface; completely filling the DT601 road below. The construction unit is reinforcing it with Larsen steel piles and prohibiting traffic.
