According to thainguyentourism.vn, in addition to the small fleet serving groups of 10-32 people, the tourist area has put into operation three large yachts, each with a capacity of 110 guests, equipped with a restaurant, karaoke room and space for organizing events and cultural exchanges. The lake has a water surface area of about 25 km², including 89 large and small islands. Built in 1973 and the main dam completed in 1977, the lake is responsible for providing irrigation water for more than 12,000 hectares of rice and crops in the two provinces of Thai Nguyen and Bac Giang .
