Hamlet Number Eight organizes National Great Unity Day

Hamlet So Tam, Son Kien commune organized cultural activities and games at the National Great Unity Day.

Speaking at the National Great Unity Day of Hamlet So Tam, comrade Huynh Quoc Thai hoped that the people of Hamlet So Tam would build a new cultural lifestyle, preserve and promote the nation's fine cultural traditions, strive to maintain cultural families; continue to promote the tradition of mutual love and care, pay attention to policy families and families in difficult circumstances with the spirit of not leaving anyone behind.

Hamlet So Tam promotes the movement of studiousness, encouragement of learning, and encouragement of talents in each family and community, maintains the mobilization of 100% of school-age children; actively participates in activities to ensure security, order, and social safety in the area, has no social evils, and has no lawbreakers.

In 2025, the Front Committee of Hamlet 8 mobilized 5 million VND from the fund for the poor; built 7 new houses, with a total cost of 455 million VND, mobilized 19 million VND to repair 2 traffic bridges; gave 870 gifts, with a total value of 174 million VND.

Officials and people of Hamlet So Tam mobilized to support northern compatriots affected by storms and floods with nearly 43 million VND, 1.6 tons of rice and many necessities worth over 53 million VND.

Hamlet So Tam residential area has 896/925 households achieving the title of “Cultural Family”, reaching 96% of households registered since the beginning of the year. At the festival, Hamlet So Tam organized games such as smashing clay pots, kicking a ball into the goal, and passing water with a spoon.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 1 individual of Hamlet So Tam for their outstanding achievements in implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" in 2025; and presented 10 gifts to poor households in Hamlet So Tam (VND 500,000/gift).
