Strengthening the prevention and handling of high-tech fraud and property appropriation activities

On November 7, in response to the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2025, the Department of Justice of An Giang province organized a seminar on "Strengthening prevention and combat against crimes of fraud and appropriation of property in cyberspace".

Representatives of the Provincial Police, the Provincial People's Court, and the Provincial People's Procuracy co-chaired and presented their reports at the seminar. In addition, the following units also presented their reports: Department of Education and Training, Department of Culture and Sports, State Bank of Region 15, An Giang University (Ho Chi Minh City National University), and Kien Giang University.

Accordingly, the presentations focused on propaganda, dissemination and legal education in the province for students, parents; digital skills for students against crimes of fraud and property appropriation in cyberspace.

Delegates also shared typical cases and preventive solutions through practical experience in adjudicating related cases; the current situation of fighting and preventing crimes and signs of identifying crimes related to fraud and appropriation of assets using high technology on cyberspace by the Provincial Police and the Provincial People's Procuracy...
