QTO - On the morning of November 7, Quang Tri Power Company (PC) mobilized two shock teams and many vehicles, equipment, and construction materials to urgently go to support Gia Lai Power Company to fix the power grid problem caused by the heavy impact of storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi).

Storm No. 13 caused heavy rain and strong winds over a wide area, causing serious problems in the power grid system in many areas in the Central and Central Highlands, causing more than 1.6 million customers to lose power. After receiving instructions from the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC), PC Quang Tri urgently mobilized two shock teams consisting of 67 officers and workers along with 14 vehicles and many specialized construction vehicles, equipment and materials to carry out tasks in the heavily damaged areas of Gia Lai province. These are all officers, engineers and workers with extensive experience in responding to and handling natural disasters, always ready to take on tasks in all circumstances.

Mr. Hoang Hieu Trung, Director of PC Quang Tri, said that in the southern region of Quang Tri province, storm No. 13 also affected a number of power lines, causing local power interruptions. Immediately after the storm, the company urgently mobilized forces to overcome the situation and gradually restore power supply to customers in the province. At the same time, PC Quang Tri still proactively carried out the task of supporting the neighboring province under the direction of EVNCPC.

Director of PC Quang Tri Hoang Hieu Trung added: “The task of supporting the restoration of the power grid in Gia Lai is the responsibility and also the tradition of EVNCPC. Therefore, PC Quang Tri requires all forces participating in the shock team to ensure absolute labor safety; proactively coordinate closely with related units to quickly restore the power grid, soon restore power to people in affected areas; actively build the image of the "orange shirt soldier" who is always dedicated, not afraid of hardship, and devoted to community life...”.
