10 agricultural technical officers of Sepon district completed the training course 'Agricultural Extension - Grassroots Veterinary Medicine'

QTO - On the morning of November 7, Quang Tri Technical College coordinated with the Agricultural Extension Center and the Department of Agriculture and Environment to organize the closing ceremony of the training course "Agricultural Extension - Grassroots Veterinary Medicine" for the departments of Sepon district, Savannakhet province (Laos).

The training course took place from October 10 to November 7, with the participation of 10 agricultural technical officers from Sepon district, Savannakhet province.

During the training period, trainees were equipped with basic to advanced knowledge on techniques for growing rice, corn, cassava, fruit trees; techniques for preventing and controlling pests and diseases; techniques for raising and caring for livestock such as: buffalo, cows, goats, pigs, poultry...

Along with that are new models, effective models that your province has not yet implemented, such as: Tissue culture, plant breeding, raising ducks on floors, raising freshwater giant prawns, fattening cows with locally available materials... By using theoretical teaching methods, combined with vivid visual images, it has helped students have the opportunity to practice, experience and form skills from practice, ready to apply effectively in the locality.

At the end of the course, 10 qualified trainees were awarded certificates of program completion. Through the training course, not only has the capacity of the agricultural staff of Savannakhet province been improved, but it is also a testament to the long-term cooperation in agricultural techniques between the two provinces of Quang Tri - Savannakhet, contributing to fostering the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos to be forever green and sustainable.
