The delegation inspected the information security system at the Commune Public Administration Service Center, the People's Council Office, the People's Committee Office, the Economic Department and the Department of Culture and Society.

Currently, the People's Committee of O Lam commune uses two data transmission network systems, provided by VNPT and deployed by the Department of Science and Technology. The locality also uses the Sonic Wall 370 firewall device, handed over by the Department of Science and Technology; signed a contract with VNPT An Giang to install anti-virus software for 24 computers.

The commune registered 5 digital signatures of organizations and 19 digital signatures of individuals; performed well the work of ensuring information security for systems connected and shared with the national population database system.

The Commune People's Committee has launched a commune website and 3 social networking sites to serve information and propaganda work. The representative of the Commune People's Committee said that the current difficulty is the lack of specialized civil servants in charge of the information technology field. Infrastructure and technical equipment have not been fully and synchronously invested.

Through the inspection, the working group requested the People's Committee of O Lam commune to fully implement documents, plans, and instructions on ensuring information safety and security, strictly managing digital signatures; complete procedures for establishing the commune's electronic information page and social platforms such as the establishment decision, operating regulations, and perfecting the editorial board and administrator members.

At the same time, equip administrators of information sites with knowledge of network information security, malware prevention and control; use copyrighted software, install firewall and malware protection software; regularly remind cadres, civil servants and public employees to use the network safely and keep information confidential...
