Steering Committee Meeting on implementing social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies in 2025

Comrade Trinh Khac Tan - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, delegates approved the Decision to promulgate the operating regulations of the Steering Committee; report on the implementation results of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies in the first 10 months of 2025.

In recent times, the propaganda and mobilization work for people to participate in insurance types has continued to be regularly implemented by the Party Committee and the Phong Tho commune government, with many diverse and suitable forms; people are increasingly aware of the benefits of participating in social security policies. The rate of people participating in health insurance reached 75.8%, voluntary social insurance reached 22%, the number of units participating in compulsory social insurance reached 80%. The total revenue from social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance from the beginning of the year to October 31, 2025 was 47,054 million VND, an increase of 1,520 million VND over the same period in 2024, contributing to ensuring social security in the area.

At the meeting, the Steering Committee members focused on analyzing the existing problems and difficulties, focusing on some main contents such as: The situation of some households not fully aware of the benefits when participating in insurance, not continuing to participate when the health insurance card expires, the rate of voluntary social insurance participation is not high; the situation of debt and late payment of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance in some administrative units and small and medium enterprises still exists; the information and propaganda work on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance policies is still formal and lacks depth... from there, proposing specific solutions to increase the insurance coverage rate in the coming time.

Leaders of Phong Tho Social Insurance approved the report on the implementation results of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies in the first 10 months of 2025.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Trinh Khac Tan - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee emphasized: Social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies are important pillars in the social security system, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love" and sharing community responsibility. He suggested that departments, branches, organizations, agencies, and units continue to closely coordinate, promote propaganda with the motto "go to every alley, knock on every door, check every subject", actively mobilize and guide people to clearly understand their rights and obligations when participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, especially focusing on villages and hamlets with low participation rates, students, and grassroots security forces; not to leave social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance debts in administrative units; minimize debts at enterprises and cooperatives... and strive to complete assigned targets and tasks in 2025.
