Attending the festival were representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors; former leaders of Muong Te district (old), Ka Lang and Thu Lum communes, along with a large number of local people and tourists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Mr. Le Thanh Tam - Chairman of Thu Lum Commune People's Committee shared: The festival is held in conjunction with the traditional New Year of the Ha Nhi ethnic group (Ho Su Cha New Year) and is an opportunity for Ha Nhi people and tourists to meet and exchange. Thereby, introducing the beauty of traditional culture and strengthening community cohesion. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to promote the image of Ha Nhi people and culture associated with the tourism development potential of Thu Lum commune, contributing to promoting socio -economic development and new rural construction.

For the Ha Nhi ethnic group, Ho Su Cha Festival is the biggest and most sacred holiday of the year. This year, Tet begins on November 7th of the solar calendar. Ho Su Cha Festival not only has the meaning of reunion, but is also an occasion for the Ha Nhi people to remember their ancestors and gods and pray for a new year of favorable weather, bountiful crops, a peaceful life, warmth, prosperity and happiness.

In a joyful and exciting atmosphere, many unique traditional cultural rituals and activities were performed and recreated, such as: the traditional way of making sticky rice cakes of the Ha Nhi ethnic group; the ritual of slaughtering a pig for Tet - looking at the liver at the beginning of the new year; excerpts from the ritual of worshipping ancestors - wishing grandparents and parents a happy new year on the first day of the new year; techniques of making and using musical instruments, creating costumes, traditional handicrafts; performing unique and characteristic art performances of the Ha Nhi ethnic group;...
