Attending the conference were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province; leaders of the Provincial Library; representatives of the Vietnam Musicians Association in Lao Cai along with a large number of librarians, teachers, students and outstanding readers.

In 2025, despite many difficulties, the Provincial Library has made efforts to innovate its operating methods, strongly apply information technology and digital transformation in serving readers.
With the motto "Taking readers as the center", the library has deployed a variety of service types from on-site, mobile to online through Lao Cai Digital Library, contributing to spreading reading culture widely in the community.

This is an important annual activity, aiming to evaluate the results of user service work, recognize outstanding groups and individuals in the reading movement and create a space for exchange and connection between readers and authors and artists of the homeland.
During the year, the Provincial Library issued 7,195 new reader cards, served more than 200,000 readers, circulated over 500,000 books and newspapers, and organized more than 280 mobile service sessions at agencies, units, schools, and remote areas.
Propaganda activities, displays, exhibitions, contests and programs in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, Lifelong Learning Week, etc. were held enthusiastically, attracting thousands of participants.
The highlight of 2025 is that the Provincial Library launched the "Digital Knowledge Space", synchronously investing in technology infrastructure, creating a modern learning environment, helping readers easily search, study and experience knowledge in an open and interactive way. Along with that, the library also organized 08 training courses to deploy the shared library management system VietBilio for nearly 200 schools in the area, supporting educational institutions to apply information technology in library work.

At the conference, delegates and readers discussed and contributed many practical ideas to improve the quality of library activities in the digital transformation period. The Provincial Library leaders directly answered the opinions and acknowledged practical suggestions on enhancing digital resources, expanding service hours and developing thematic reading programs.

Also at the conference, readers had the chance to interact with two musicians Phung Chien and Vu Dinh Trong of the Vietnam Musicians Association in Lao Cai. In a friendly atmosphere, the musicians shared their creative stories and inspiration from the land and people of the Northwest, where they expressed their love for their homeland through songs such as: "Sa Pa - Where Heaven and Earth Meet", "Chieu Muong Hum", "Dong Song Hoa Kapok"... The simple yet profound sharing of the musicians has strongly inspired, helping the younger generation to love traditional arts and culture more, while also arousing the spirit of creativity and pride in their homeland.

On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in the reading culture development movement in 2025.
