BAC NINH - On the afternoon of November 6, Comrade Mai Son, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province chaired a working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and affiliated units to evaluate the performance in 2025 and discuss solutions to improve the effectiveness of task implementation in the coming time.

The field of physical education and sports continues to affirm its position with many outstanding achievements: Since the beginning of the year, the province's training centers have won more than 1,600 medals of all kinds, including nearly 80 international medals; organized and hosted many national and international sports competitions, contributing to improving the training movement and the image of Bac Ninh sports.

In the first 10 months of this year, the whole province welcomed about 5.7 million visitors, reaching 102.5% of the yearly plan; revenue reached nearly 5 trillion VND. Among them, the Provincial People's Committee was proposed to allow the rearrangement of 11 affiliated public service units into 7 units, invest in the construction of the Bac Ninh Museum (new), the Provincial Sports Complex, and renovate the Quan Ho Folk Song Theater.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Mai Son acknowledged and praised the achievements of the culture, sports and tourism sector in recent times. He emphasized that after the merger, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism quickly stabilized the organization, ensuring synchronous and smooth operations. Administrative procedures were resolved promptly, without any delays or lateness.

He suggested that the culture, sports and tourism sector continue to promote the achieved results, while focusing on overcoming limitations, especially in the process of operating the two-level local government model; resolutely correcting manifestations of avoidance and shirking of responsibility in performing public duties.

Officials, civil servants and public employees of the sector strengthen propaganda, raise people's awareness of the role of culture and Kinh Bac cultural identity in sustainable development; pay attention to building and educating culture in families. At the same time, promote the development of the library system and enhance digital transformation.

Focus on preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage, prioritizing the restoration and embellishment of degraded relics; build thematic exhibitions at museums. Develop sustainable tourism, plan tourism in accordance with the province's overall planning; build cultural-tourist villages, eco-tourism areas and experiences; coordinate with units to build attractive tours and routes, connecting to attract tourists from the capital Hanoi; attract investment in building entertainment venues to serve the needs of the people and tourists.

Pay attention to developing culture, arts and mass sports movements, organize free quan ho and cheo performances to serve the people; host national and international sports events and competitions in the area; do a good job of emulation and rewards to spread and replicate advanced models.

Focus on implementing the Resolution on building and developing Bac Ninh culture and people by 2030; promoting potential, advantages, solidarity, self-reliance, self-reliance, building the province to develop rapidly, comprehensively and sustainably.
