The Moon Worshiping Ceremony, also known as Ok Om Bok, is one of the three major festivals of the Khmer people in the South. It has a profound meaning in the spiritual life of the people, expressing people's feelings for the god of nature who has helped people protect crops, regulate the weather, bring good crops and prosperity.

A highlight of the Moon Worshiping Ceremony is the ritual of feeding flattened green rice. Elderly and prestigious people among the ethnic people will feed flattened green rice to the participants with wishes of good luck and prosperity.
