On the evening of November 5, at Go Quao commune, the Organizing Committee of the 17th Khmer Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival in An Giang province in 2025 held the closing ceremony of the Khmer Traditional Arts Festival in An Giang province in 2025.

The 2025 Khmer Traditional Arts Festival in An Giang province attracted 333 artisans and actors from 26 Khmer traditional arts teams from communes and wards in An Giang province to participate.

Participating in the festival, the teams performed 26 mass art performances, 22 performances of traditional musical instruments and 24 teams performed traditional costumes of the Southern Khmer, with the theme praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the homeland, the country; praising the tradition of solidarity and cohesion among the Vietnamese ethnic communities. In addition, the unique features of the traditional costumes of the Southern Khmer ethnic group were introduced.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second, and third prizes for the following categories: Traditional costume performance, traditional Khmer musical instrument performance, Khmer art performance, and overall group prize.

At the same time, the award for promising actor was given to actress Tran Huynh Thi, Traditional Art Team of Dinh Hoa commune; the award for excellent staging was given to Traditional Art Team of Hon Dat commune.

The 2025 Khmer Traditional Arts Festival in An Giang province is part of a series of activities.   The 17th Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of Khmer people in An Giang province in 2025 is associated with the Ok Om Bok Festival of the Khmer people.

Through the festival, the aim is to preserve and promote the rich and unique culture of the Khmer people in the whole province. At the same time, discover and nurture artistic talents and increasingly better meet the needs of living and enjoying traditional Khmer culture and art in An Giang province...
