On some previous Galaxy Z Fold models, Samsung also used a camera hidden under the screen. With the Galaxy Z Fold7, the company returned to a punch-hole camera to ensure image quality.

Sources from the supply chain reveal that Apple is taking longer than expected to refine design and hinge issues related to the screen. Therefore, the device's launch will be delayed until spring 2027, coinciding with the release of the iPhone 18e.

The report further states that production of display panels for foldable iPhones will decrease from 13 million to 9 million. First-year production will also drop to 5-7 million units.

According to a report shared by analyst Jeff Pu, the foldable iPhone will have a frame made from a composite material of titanium and aluminum.

Apple is also reportedly planning to expand the use of titanium in its product lines, such as the iPhone Fold and iPhone Air. Previous rumors suggested the foldable iPhone would be 4.5mm thick when unfolded. This thickness is even thinner than the iPhone Air.

According to Bloomberg , the iPhone Fold will look like two iPhone Airs placed side-by-side. This information aligns with many predictions that the iPhone Air was a prototype designed by Apple before creating the foldable iPhone.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple's first foldable iPhone will integrate the Touch ID fingerprint sensor into the power button on the side, instead of using an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The iPhone Fold is expected to have a total of four cameras. One camera will be on the inner screen, one on the outer screen, and two main cameras will be on the back.
