(Dan Tri) - When AI can compose, harmonize and sing instead of humans, Tung Duong is still determined to invest more than 1 billion VND to make a vinyl record, keeping the original voice and true emotions in every note.

In the context of the explosion of AI (artificial intelligence) technology, many singers can create hits with just a few clicks, but Tung Duong goes in the opposite direction. The male singer does not follow the convenience of AI, nor does he want to let machines replace his voice and emotions.

Sharing at the album launch event Vol 1: The Voice - Timeless in Hanoi, he confided: “I am not against AI or technology, but music must have real emotions. AI only supports, it cannot replace the heart and brains of the musician or singer.”

According to Tung Duong, AI can sing in the highest pitches, program every note, but cannot replace the emotions, breath and inner vibrations that an artist conveys when singing.

The male singer has a clear artistic perspective. He refused to sing famous songs created by AI, despite many invitations, because he wanted to respect the musician's intelligence and the singer's true emotions.

Not only is it a challenge for himself, Tung Duong wants to preserve the value of traditional music, where real vocals and natural emotions are prioritized, completely different from the refinement of digital or AI products. This is both a way for him to renew himself and a way to stay connected with the audience for a long time.

AI is also one of the reasons why he decided to make a vinyl product with album Vol 1: The Voice - Timeless, completely using traditional recording methods, from recording to printing, to preserve the real voice and original emotions in every note.

After 20 years of singing, this is the first time Tung Duong has released a product entirely on vinyl records. According to the male singer, collecting vinyl records is a very luxurious thing.

“It takes effort, money, and brainpower to figure it out. A high-quality music system and speakers are also extremely expensive,” he said.

According to the male singer, the total cost of making the vinyl record was up to 1 billion VND, including many expensive items: Recording using traditional methods in a standard studio, preserving the original tape with the highest accuracy, mixing, sound arrangement, printing the vinyl record, and many tests to achieve optimal quality...

Album Vol 1: The Voice - Timeless includes 8 immortal love songs of Vietnamese music, such as: Alone, Lonely, Regretful, The Traveler's Heart, Separated by a Corner of the Sky, Footprints of Paradise, Lullaby for Me, and Lifetime of Love.

This also marks Tung Duong's return to classic music, after more than 10 years since the very successful series of albums Tung Duong sings love songs .

Singer Tung Duong (born 1983) graduated from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and is considered one of the most powerful and unique voices in Vietnamese music.

This year, the male singer left his mark with many performances that were well received by the audience at the A50 and A80 festivals. The song Vietnam - Proudly Following the Future , composed by Nguyen Van Chung and released in August, has attracted 4.7 million views on YouTube.
