From the Vivo X300 Pro, the Galaxy S26 Ultra leaks to the recently launched Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. All of them make many users wonder: Why do many phone companies copy the design and features of the iPhone?

Although it doesn't copy the design, many of the features inside the Vivo X300 Pro are quite similar to the iPhone.

Starting with the Vivo X300 Pro - a powerful smartphone with fast performance, excellent camera, beautiful screen, and not to mention the 6,510 mAh battery. However, its software contains many similar features to the iPhone that make many people feel uncomfortable.
For example, Vivo's Quick Button is placed in the same position as the iPhone's Action Button, and its settings menu has many similarities to iOS. Similarly, VivoShare, which allows sharing data via NFC, also has an animation similar to Apple's AirDrop.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is no exception when switching from naming its high-end product Xiaomi 15 Ultra to Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, with a design similar to the iPhone. This seems to attract iPhone users, but makes the product lose its uniqueness.
Recently, leaked information about the Galaxy S26 Ultra shows that Samsung is considering launching the product in a deep orange color, similar to the cosmic orange color of the iPhone 17 Pro. This further raises the question of why phone manufacturers have to follow the iPhone model.

A stage full of 'different iPhone logos'
Obviously, it is not surprising that manufacturers learn from each other in product development in this day and age, but blatant copying sends the message that they are not confident in their products. Borrowing and improving features is normal, but copying without innovation will reduce the value of the product, inadvertently making the smartphone market "more and more boring".
Even a Vivo X300 Pro is highly appreciated for its features and internal hardware, but when holding the product in hand, many people still feel "is this an iPhone version?". If you are just a normal user, not passionate about advanced technology, thinking about whether to spend money to buy the product or not is really worth considering.

Many new Samsung products have been accused of copying Apple designs.

Speaking of copying ideas, things go even further in the smartwatch field. Recently, Samsung has faced a lot of criticism for the Galaxy Watch Ultra being too similar to the Apple Watch Ultra. This similarity not only reduces user trust but also makes the smartphone market more monotonous.
Ten years ago, the smartphone market was diverse with many unique creative ideas. Now, it seems that manufacturers are gradually homogenizing in design and features, which makes many people worry that the future of the smartphone industry will become more and more boring.
