Ok Om Bok Festival, also known as Moon Worshiping Festival, is a traditional festival of the Khmer people, listed as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2014. This year, Vinh Long province organized the Festival with a series of 19 rich and attractive activities taking place from October 30 to November 5.
In particular, the Ok Om Bok Festival night is considered the most meaningful highlight of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week celebrating the Ok Om Bok Festival. The festival night is organized with many booths displaying and exhibiting typical products of the Khmer people, especially reenacting the moon worship ritual, parade and releasing flower lanterns, releasing water lanterns... This is a precious opportunity for people and tourists to explore and fully experience the beauty and spiritual value of the Festival.
