Vietnam - Cambodia Military Medicine: Free medical examination for people in Long Thuan commune

Doctors examine, provide health consultation and provide medicine to people in Long Thuan commune.

Attending were Major General Tran Cong Truong - Deputy Director of the Military Medical Department, General Department of Logistics and Technology, Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam; Lieutenant General Prom Satharath - Deputy Director of the Military Medical Department, Royal Cambodian Army.

The medical examination and medicine provision for people in the Vietnam - Cambodia border area was conducted by the General Department of Logistics and Technology (Ministry of National Defense) under the direction of the Military Medical Department, in coordination with the Cambodian Military Medical Department, Military Region 7, Border Guard, and Military Hospital 175. Here, the Vietnamese and Cambodian military medical forces examined and provided medicine to more than 700 people in Long Thuan commune.

“This program is both a responsibility and a sentiment of the two countries’ armies to express gratitude for the support and care of the people and local authorities on both sides of the border. This is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese and Cambodian armies to exchange, share and learn from each other’s experiences in medical profession and military medical organization,” Major General Tran Cong Truong emphasized.

The Vietnam-Cambodia border defense friendship exchange is scheduled to take place from November 12 to 14 in the common border area of the two countries in Long Thuan commune, Tay Ninh province, Vietnam and Monourom commune, Svay Theab district, Svay Rieng province, Cambodia.

Thereby, contributing to strengthening political trust, promoting cooperation, especially between border management and protection forces, local authorities and people in the border areas of the two countries in a practical and effective manner, building a peaceful, friendly, stable, cooperative and developing Vietnam - Cambodia border./.
