In order to promptly share the difficulties with workers who suffered losses due to natural disasters and floods in recent days, on November 5, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, was present in Lam Dong province to visit, encourage and provide support to union members and workers who were severely affected by recent floods.
Mr. Phan Van Anh emphasized that the support shows the spirit of solidarity and sharing of the trade union organization nationwide, thereby helping workers quickly overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind.

Representing workers in Lam Dong province, worker Dao Xuan Truong - member of the grassroots trade union - Hai Trieu Company Ltd. expressed his gratitude: these gifts not only have material value but are also a great source of spiritual encouragement, demonstrating the concern of the trade union organization for workers in times of trouble.
Accordingly, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has awarded 500 million VND in support to union members and workers in Lam Dong province. This fund is allocated to units directly affected, helping workers overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives.
Specifically, at Phu Long Garment Factory, the delegation handed out 50 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to workers affected by floods. Next, at Phan Thiet Industrial Park, the delegation also handed out 20 gifts to union members and workers of Hai Trieu Company Limited.
According to the plan, the remaining gifts will be quickly compiled by the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor and distributed directly to affected workers in other areas.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, said that trade unions at all levels are reviewing the list of union members and workers whose property was damaged by heavy rain and flooding from October 30 to November 3.
Initial statistics show that many workers in Phan Thiet Industrial Park and Ham Kiem Industrial Park were severely affected. These two areas have a large concentration of workers from Ham Thuan, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Liem communes and Ham Thang ward, where many areas were deeply flooded due to prolonged heavy rain combined with flood discharge from irrigation reservoirs for many consecutive days.
