At the headquarters of the Dong Son Commune Party Committee, the atmosphere became bustling as 16 households, mostly elderly people, women and children, gathered here to take shelter from the storm.
People arranged blankets and temporary food; militia and youth union members helped transport belongings. Outside, the wind began to get stronger, but inside, the warm, safe atmosphere somewhat helped people feel more secure before the big storm that was coming.
According to preliminary statistics, up to now, Dong Son commune has evacuated about 800 households with more than 2,400 people, mainly single-parent households, the elderly and families with unstable houses. People are arranged to take shelter in schools, cultural houses and solid structures in the area.


On the evening of November 6, people of Van Tuong commune gathered at Binh Hoa Primary and Secondary School to take shelter from storm No. 13.
Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 13, the authorities of Van Tuong commune, Quang Ngai province, have urgently deployed the work of evacuating people to safe places. Up to now, the locality has organized the relocation of more than 2,690 households with 6,729 people to solid houses in the village; at the same time, 1,078 households with 3,212 people have been relocated to agencies, schools and businesses in the area to avoid the storm.
The shock troops are deployed regularly, ready to support people in the process of moving and living in shelters. Thanks to the early initiative, up to now, the commune has basically completed the evacuation of people in dangerous areas, ensuring absolute safety for people and property.
