At 7:00 p.m. on November 6, according to SGGP Newspaper reporters, at the Quy Nhon coast ( Gia Lai ), the wind began to calm down, people went out to check their houses and the initial damage.

In the residential area along An Duong Vuong Street, many houses, shops, and buildings were destroyed by the storm and had their roofs blown off. On Luong Dac Bang Street, many houses and shops were destroyed by the storm, with two shops completely destroyed.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vy (35 years old, in Quy Nhon Nam ward, Gia Lai province) said that his shop was devastated by the storm. “At around 5 pm, I was in the shop to secure and protect my property. At that time, the wind was so strong that it blew everything away, the pillars of the house were lifted up high. I only had time to run outside before the whole shop collapsed. After returning, the shop was completely blown away, only some broken iron frames remained. The property worth nearly 1 billion VND invested was now considered empty,” Mr. Vy said sadly.

Similarly, Ms. Le Nhu Thanh Thuy (Quy Nhon Nam ward) worriedly said: “This is the first time I have seen a storm with such strong winds. My restaurant was severely damaged by the storm, and many other people also suffered great damage. If this wind continues, everything will be devastated.”

At 8 p.m., the storm returned, continuing to howl for a long time. Mr. Cao Thanh Thuong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province, said that the provincial forward command is still maintaining and monitoring the complex developments of the storm. "Currently, the storm is gusting strongly and complicatedly. Military forces, police and armored vehicles have been mobilized to support damaged and collapsed houses," Mr. Thuong quickly informed.
