Earlier that afternoon, Mr. DQC (44 years old) from Tay An Vinh village jumped into the sea for family reasons at Ly Son wharf. Afterwards, Mr. LVS (37 years old) from Tay An Hai village and Mr. PDQ (47 years old) from Tay An Vinh village used a basket to rescue the person who jumped off the bridge.
After rescuing Mr. DQC, due to the big waves, the three of them could not row the boat to shore. Immediately after the incident, the authorities mobilized Thanh Tam ship (VT0035) to search. At nearly 6 p.m., due to big waves and strong winds, the search had to be temporarily suspended.
Ly Son Special Zone (Quang Ngai) is forecast to be the locality directly affected by storm No. 13. This is considered a very dangerous area, the storm's speed is fast and strong, with the risk of causing great damage.
In order to mitigate the damage caused by natural disasters, the People's Committee of Ly Son Special Zone has stepped up propaganda and instructed people to proactively respond to storm No. 13, including measures such as securing houses, stockpiling food and essential necessities; evacuating households whose houses are not safe to solid shelters or state agency headquarters; not leaving people on boats or rafts during the storm's landing.
The special zone also strictly manages the departure of ships and boats, prohibiting all means of transport from going to sea, including the Sa Ky - Ly Son passenger transport route, the Dao Lon - Dao Be route and vice versa, from 5:00 p.m. on November 5, 2025 until the weather stabilizes (according to the bulletin of the Quang Ngai Hydrometeorological Station).
In addition, the People's Committee of Ly Son Special Zone has developed a plan to ensure food and necessities to support poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in the area during the storm.
