Previously, implementing the Official Dispatch No. 03/CD-UBND dated November 5 of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and related directives on responding to storm Kalmaegi (storm No. 13), Ba Ngoi Ward People's Committee established 7 working groups in charge of monitoring and directing natural disaster response in 16 residential groups. On November 5, the functional forces coordinated with Cam Ranh Urban Construction Company to trim trees on Hung Vuong Avenue, Provincial Road 9 and roads at risk of trees falling due to storms. Residential groups continuously propagated and instructed people to proactively stock up on food, drinking water, essential items, reinforce houses, rafts, trim trees around the house, and absolutely avoid being subjective about accident risks such as drowning, electric shock, and casualties due to storms and floods. The ward's radio system continuously broadcasted information on storm developments at high frequency so that people could take timely precautions.
As of 8 p.m. on November 6, no human or property damage has been recorded in the area. The ward's disaster prevention force remains on duty 24/7, ready to support search and rescue and respond to any bad situations.
