The workshop was organized to clarify the role, significance and sustainable value of traditional culture in the life of ethnic minority communities; analyze influencing factors in the current context of urbanization, globalization and tourism; propose scientific and practical solutions to preserve, conserve and promote typical intangible cultural values (language, festivals, customs, costumes, folk art, indigenous knowledge, traditional crafts, etc.);
At the same time, research and evaluate community cultural tourism models associated with the rational exploitation of traditional cultural resources; promote the role of ethnic minorities in creating, preserving and introducing traditional culture; Identify solutions for sustainable cultural tourism development, considering tourism as a means of promoting national identity, while contributing to creating livelihoods and improving people's lives.

This is also an academic forum that brings together scientists, experts, managers, businesses, artisans and the community to exchange experiences, introduce models, consult on policies and support mechanisms for cultural conservation associated with tourism development; Contribute to raising social awareness, strengthening inter-sectoral and inter-regional coordination in planning strategies, policies and tourism development associated with preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic minorities.
The workshop includes 3 groups of topics: Current status of conservation and promotion of ethnic minority cultural values associated with community tourism development in Vietnam; pilot models, lessons learned; The relationship between cultural conservation and tourism development: opportunities, challenges and sustainable orientation. The role of ethnic minority communities in developing cultural tourism; Orientation and solutions for conservation and promotion of intangible culture, craft villages, festivals, folk arts associated with tourism. Support policies, coordination mechanisms between management agencies, tourism businesses and communities.
The workshop is expected to attract about 100 to 120 delegates including managers, scientists, experts, researchers, cultural and tourism managers, lecturers from universities, colleges, postgraduates; folk artisans, excellent artisans, knowledgeable artisans with the ability to teach and practice from localities and press and television agencies./.
