Louis Koo and Sammo Hung hope to have the opportunity to make films in Vietnam.

At a press conference, two Hong Kong (China) actors, Louis Koo and Sammo Hung, expressed their hope that in the near future the two film industries will have joint cooperation projects.

The press conference with the two actors was held within the framework of the Hong Kong (China) Cinema Gala on the afternoon of November 6 in Ho Chi Minh City. Before that, both of them were in Vietnam since the evening of November 5.

Speaking at the meeting, actor Sammo Hung said this was a meaningful event for both film industries. He hoped that after this event, Vietnamese and Hong Kong (China) filmmakers would have more opportunities to meet, exchange and cooperate.

"We have filmed in many Southeast Asian countries but not in Vietnam. Hopefully in the future we will have joint projects," the veteran actor shared.

Louis Koo also said that this is an opportunity for him to learn more about Vietnamese cinema. He revealed that in the near future he plans to meet with directors and actors in Vietnam to find opportunities for cooperation.

The Hong Kong (China) Cinema Gala comes to Vietnam for the first time, taking place from November 6 to 8. The event is organized by the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA) in collaboration with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (China) in Singapore, sponsored by the Hong Kong Creative and Cultural Development Council (China) and the Hong Kong Film Development Fund (China).

The event, themed "Together we dare to be powerful", will screen four films: Kowloon Walled City: Siege, The Double, The Four Trails, and Farewell Reunion.

Evaluating the Vietnamese film market, Dr. Vuong Anh Vi, Chairman of the Asian Film Awards Academy, Chairman of the Hong Kong Film Development Board (China) said that Vietnamese cinema is developing strongly thanks to its young population structure and increasingly developing economic environment, leading to an increased demand for film entertainment. He also highly appreciated the development of Vietnam's film industry, with many excellent works, themes and actors.

The opening ceremony of the event was held on the evening of November 6 at the Galaxy Thiso Mall cinema complex (An Khanh ward, Ho Chi Minh City) with the participation of Dr. Vuong Anh Vi, two actors Co Thien Lac and Hung Kim Bao, director Leung Quan Thuan and many Vietnamese artists.

In addition to the film screenings, on November 7, director Luong Quan Thuan (the film The Stuntman ) also had a meeting with Vietnamese audiences with director Tran Thanh Huy and actress Nguyen Lam Thao Tam.
