National Press Awards 'For the cause of developing Vietnamese culture'

On the evening of November 6, at Hoan Kiem Theater (Hanoi), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and Vietnam Television to organize the 3rd National Press Awards Ceremony 'For the cause of developing Vietnamese culture'.

The award aims to recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of groups, individuals, and teams of journalists in the development of culture, information, sports , tourism and family.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung presented awards to the first prize-winning author groups.

The award also recognizes the persistent efforts of press and media agencies in turning culture into a source of spiritual energy, spreading to millions of people, joining hands to implement the strategic action statement: "Culture is the foundation - Information is the conduit - Sports is the strength - Tourism is the connecting bridge".

According to the organizing committee, among 122 excellent works selected to be presented to the final jury, after the preliminary and final rounds, the organizing committee decided to award 3 collective prizes to press agencies with many quality works, namely: Voice of Vietnam; Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television; Vinh Long Newspaper and Radio and Television.

At the same time, 95 individual prizes were awarded, including 5 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 25 third prizes and 50 consolation prizes.

Of which, 5 authors and groups of authors won first prize, including: Preserving historical and cultural values ​​when naming after merger (printed newspaper - series of 4 articles) by Culture Newspaper ; Hanoi Capital: Living forever the memory of 70 years of victory (electronic newspaper - series of 5 articles) by VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper , Vietnam News Agency ;

The work "Awakening Heritage" (radio format) of Voice of Vietnam ; The talk show "The Rising Era" with the theme "The Rising Generation " (television format) of the News Department, Vietnam Television; The family tradition of preserving "national color" (journalistic format) of Culture Newspaper.

At this award, the series of articles Festival for Peace (electronic newspaper type - series of 5 articles) by reporter Nguyen Phuc, Thanh Nien Newspaper won the consolation prize. The series of articles vividly and fully reflects a festival with peace content held for the first time in the sacred land of Quang Tri. This is a festival oriented as a "voice of peace" from Quang Tri in particular, from Vietnam in general to the world...

A notable highlight of this year's season is that for the first time, the organizers awarded 6 more "Vietnamese Inspiration" awards. This award aims to honor the persistent efforts of press agencies, media channels and individuals who have contributed to turning culture into a source of spiritual energy spreading to millions of people.

The works, programs, and art and media products that were honored all created a profound social impact, contributing to promoting Vietnamese cultural values, inspiring positive living, arousing national pride, solidarity, humanity, and creativity among Vietnamese people. According to the organizers, the award affirms the role of press agencies, media channels and individuals in creating and fostering good values, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
