Ministry of Construction and Government Cipher Committee coordinate information security and data safety

(Chinhphu.vn) - In order to strengthen the work of ensuring network security, information security and data safety for information systems, on the afternoon of November 6, the Ministry of Construction and the Government Cipher Committee held a signing ceremony of the Coordination Regulations in ensuring network security, information security and data safety.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Viet Hung and Head of the Government Cipher Committee, Lieutenant General Vu Ngoc Thiem signed the Coordination Regulations.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Viet Hung emphasized: The coordination regulations signed today have both technical and strategic significance, with the goal of laying the foundation for a proactive, synchronous, effective and sustainable coordination mechanism between the two agencies.

Incorporate data security into digital transformation programs

According to the Deputy Minister, ensuring network security is not only a technical task, but also a political task, a commitment of state agencies to the Party, the State and the people. Therefore, the Ministry of Construction will direct strongly and consistently throughout the industry, putting the contents of the Regulation into a specific action plan, with focal points, progress and periodic inspection and evaluation. Ensure the necessary resources - in terms of human resources, technology and funding - to effectively implement information security and data security.

"The Ministry of Construction will closely coordinate with the Government Cipher Committee to operate the network security monitoring system and assess the information security level for data systems in the construction industry. In addition, the Ministry of Construction will also include data security content in all digital transformation programs, from the ministerial to local levels, from state management to public services," Deputy Minister Nguyen Viet Hung affirmed.

On behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Deputy Minister Nguyen Viet Hung requested the Government Cipher Committee to continue supporting the Ministry of Construction in training experts, providing technical advice, transferring cryptographic technology and data security according to international standards, so that the Ministry can be more autonomous and more stable in its digital infrastructure.

The Deputy Minister also expressed his belief that the coordination between the Ministry of Construction and the Government Cipher Committee will create a model of exemplary cooperation, where technology, people and trust are closely linked; where data security is not just a regulation, but becomes the working culture of the entire industry.

At the signing ceremony, Lieutenant General Vu Ngoc Thiem, Head of the Government Cipher Committee, affirmed that ensuring network security, information security and data safety is a key task, closely related to the sustainable development of the digital transformation process as clearly stated in Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

Therefore, the signing of the Regulations on coordination in ensuring network security, information security and data safety at the Ministry of Construction aims to improve the capacity to ensure network security, information security and data safety for the information systems of the Ministry of Construction, meeting urgent requirements in the spirit of Resolution 57. This is also an important basis and premise for the two sides to coordinate in ensuring network security, information security and data safety for the information systems of the Ministry of Construction in the coming time.

Lieutenant General Vu Ngoc Thiem believes that the Ministry of Construction and the Government Cipher Committee will effectively deploy and organize the work of monitoring and ensuring information security and network security for shared information systems, national databases, and specialized databases under the management of the Ministry of Construction; respond to information security and network security incidents and connect the Ministry of Construction's network information security monitoring system to the national information security and network security monitoring systems.

The coordination regulations of the two sides include: The Ministry of Construction and the Government Cipher Committee will coordinate to develop solutions and comprehensive models for ensuring network security, information security and data safety of the Ministry of Construction; Organize and implement the work of monitoring and troubleshooting information security and network security; Inspect and evaluate network security, information security and data safety for the information systems of the Ministry of Construction. The two sides will also coordinate to deploy cryptographic products, information security solutions, and deploy digital signatures for public use.

In addition, the Ministry of Construction and the Government Cipher Committee will also coordinate to organize drills on ensuring network security, information security, and data safety at the Ministry of Construction; and train and foster knowledge and skills on ensuring network security, information security, and data safety for the staff of the Ministry of Construction.

The Regulation also assigns the Information Technology Center as the standing unit, the focal point for organizing the implementation of the Regulation of the Ministry of Construction, and the Party - Government Cipher Department as the standing unit, the focal point for organizing the implementation of the Regulation assigned by the Government Cipher Committee.
