Attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Industry and Trade, Finance, Science and Technology, Government Office and Ho Chi Minh City.
The Autumn Economic Forum 2025 (Forum) is scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City from November 25-30 with the theme "Green transformation in the digital age".
Ho Chi Minh City plans to invite more than 300 delegates and international guests to attend the Forum, including heads of state, government leaders, leaders of ministries and localities; international organizations and international financial institutions, science, technology and innovation centers; experts, policy researchers; and the world's leading corporations.
The Forum aims to strengthen friendly relations between Ho Chi Minh City and foreign localities, raise the level of foreign affairs and international cooperation of the City; exchange and discuss orientations for building cooperation frameworks to serve the development goals of the City.
The forum also aims to create conditions for the Ho Chi Minh City business community to connect, meet and cooperate with international businesses, experts and organizations; introduce and promote the image of a dynamic, creative and friendly Ho Chi Minh City, a leading attractive destination for international investors and tourists.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated Ho Chi Minh City for actively coordinating with central ministries and branches to deploy preparation work according to the set schedule; requested the City to continue coordinating with ministries and branches to review and complete projects on content, security, reception, logistics, and propaganda, ensuring the Forum takes place solemnly, appropriately, and successfully.
The Deputy Prime Minister directed Ho Chi Minh City to continue to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in inviting leaders of countries, international organizations, domestic and foreign enterprises directly related to the Forum's theme to attend the Forum with the motto of expanding the scale and raising the level of the event.
Emphasizing that the Forum is a good opportunity to promote cooperation with countries, international organizations and foreign enterprises, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that Ho Chi Minh City needs to take advantage of the Forum to focus on promoting international cooperation in local priority areas, such as urban management, smart transportation, responding to climate change, rising sea levels, reducing air pollution, etc.
Ho Chi Minh City continues to coordinate with the World Economic Forum (WEF) in sharing experiences and secrets to bring the Forum to international level in the coming years.
Security, reception, and logistics work must demonstrate solemnity and hospitality; information and propaganda work must be carried out before, during, and after the event with the participation of both Vietnamese and foreign press agencies, the Deputy Prime Minister requested.
