Attending the award ceremony were members of the Party Central Committee: Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh.

The third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese culture" was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the Vietnam Journalists Association to select and award authors or groups of authors with outstanding press works on culture, information, family, sports and tourism published and broadcast by central and local press agencies within the prescribed time; award to typical press agencies with many winning works.

The award aims to recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of collectives, individuals, and teams of journalists in the development of culture, information, sports, tourism and family. The award also recognizes the persistent efforts of press and media agencies in turning culture into a source of spiritual energy, spreading to millions of people, joining hands to implement the strategic action statement: "Culture is the foundation - Information is the conduit - Sports is the strength - Tourism is the connecting bridge".

This year’s competition has expanded the focus of the entries. In addition to the content revolving around culture, sports and tourism as in previous seasons, this season, authors can enter the competition with articles about journalism and publishing. The organizing committee has received 1,040 entries from most central and local press agencies.

Evaluating the quality of the award, the Organizing Committee said that this year, the Press Award of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been raised to a new level, demonstrated through the scale and quality of the entries. More than 1,000 entries sent from central and local press agencies show the very positive response of the press nationwide, the increasingly deep interest of reporters and editors in the fields of culture, sports and tourism.
This year's entries are quite diverse in genre and theme. In the final round, many entries demonstrated depth in content, reflecting major issues of the industry such as cultural policy, legal basis, the role of culture in the digital age, building family culture, etc. These themes are very consistent with the orientation of "culture must light the way for the nation", in line with the Party and State's policies and guidelines on cultural development.

After the preliminary and final rounds, the Organizing Committee decided to award 95 individual prizes including: 5 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 25 third prizes and 50 consolation prizes. Of which, 5 first prizes went to: Series of 4 articles "Preserving historical and cultural values when naming after the merger" by author Lai Thi Thuy Ha (Dinh An) - Culture Newspaper in print newspaper category; series of 5 articles "Hanoi Capital: Living forever the memory of 70 years of victory" by author Do Minh Thu - VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) in electronic newspaper category; work "Awakening the heritage" by authors Viet Anh, Thanh Huyen, Dinh Chau, Dieu Linh - Voice of Vietnam in radio category; talk show work "Era of rising" with the theme "Generation rising" by author Vu Kieu Trinh - News Department (Vietnam Television) in television category; The work "Household customs preserve "national color"" by author Tran Van Huan - Culture Newspaper in the photojournalism category.
Hanoi Moi Newspaper won second prize with a series of 5 printed articles "10 years of implementing Resolution 33 - NQ/TU: Vivid reality from Hanoi" by a group of authors Hai Giang, Doan Trang, Tuyet Hanh, Linh Tam, Huong Tra.
The organizing committee also awarded three collective prizes to press agencies with many quality works, including Voice of Vietnam Radio, Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television, and Vinh Long Newspaper and Radio and Television.

A notable highlight of this year's season is that for the first time, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 more "Vietnamese Inspiration" awards. This award aims to honor the persistent efforts of press agencies, media channels and individuals who have contributed to turning culture into a source of spiritual energy spreading to millions of people. The works, programs and art and media products honored all created a profound social effect, contributing to promoting Vietnamese cultural values, inspiring positive living, arousing national pride, solidarity, humanity and creativity of the Vietnamese people.
In which, the Special Prize went to Nhan Dan Newspaper; the First Prize went to Vietnam Television; the Second Prize went to the Military Radio and Television Center; the Third Prize went to Hanoi Radio and Television. The Social Media Channel Award went to Schannel Network; the Individual Award “Vietnamese Inspiration” went to actor Nguyen Hung (Nguyen Quoc Hung).
