Quang Ninh Newspaper, Radio and Television won second prize at the National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" for the third time.

On the evening of November 6, at the Hoan Kiem Theater (Hanoi), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and Vietnam Television organized the third National Press Awards Ceremony "For the cause of developing Vietnamese culture". The third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the Vietnam Journalists Association to select and award authors and groups of authors with outstanding press works on culture, information, family, sports and tourism, published and broadcast by central and local press agencies within the prescribed time; award to typical press agencies with many winning works.

Comrade Mai Van Chinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister and Comrade Nguyen Van Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the First Prize to the authors and representatives of the author groups.

The third National Press Award “For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture” received 1,040 press entries from most of the central and local press agencies. According to the Organizing Committee’s assessment, this year, the third National Press Award “For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture” has a good scale and quality of entries, with entries being diverse in genre and topic.

In the final round, many works demonstrated depth in content, reflecting major issues of the industry, such as: Cultural policy, legal basis, the role of culture in the digital age, building family culture... The topics are consistent with the orientation of "culture must light the way for the nation", in line with the Party and State's policies and guidelines on cultural development.

The Organizing Committee decided to award 95 individual prizes (5 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 25 third prizes and 50 consolation prizes) and 3 group prizes. Of which, Quang Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television has a comprehensive radio program: "Vietnamese Taste" by the group of authors: Nguyen Thu Giang, Nguyen Thi Hang, Vu Huyen Trang won second prize.

A notable highlight of this year's season is that for the first time, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 more Vietnamese Inspiration Awards. Specifically: Special Award: Nhan Dan Newspaper; First Prize: Vietnam Television Station; Second Prize: Military Radio and Television Center; Third Prize: Hanoi Radio and Television Station; Social Media Channel Award: Schannel Network; Individual Award: Actor Nguyen Hung (Nguyen Quoc Hung).

The National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" aims to recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of collectives, individuals, and teams of journalists in the cause of developing culture, information, sports, tourism and family. The award recognizes the persistent efforts of press and media agencies in turning culture into a source of spiritual energy, spreading to millions of people, joining hands to implement the strategic action statement: "Culture is the foundation - Information is the conduit - Sports is the strength - Tourism is the connecting bridge". This award affirms the role of press agencies, media channels, and individuals in creating and fostering good values, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture with a strong national identity.
