From there, encourage and motivate journalists nationwide, continue to strongly promote the role of the press in detecting, fighting and condemning acts of corruption, waste and negativity.
After 2 years of implementation, as of July 31, 2025, the Organizing Committee of the Award has received 1,110 press works submitted in 04 categories (print, electronic, radio, television) from 90 press agencies at the central and local levels. With the spirit of democracy, objectivity, impartiality and high responsibility, the members of the Final Jury reviewed and unanimously selected 44 best works to award 4 A prizes; 10 B prizes; 12 C prizes; 18 Encouragement prizes.
In which, the series of articles " Fighting against land waste - Streamlining the apparatus: An urgent revolution for the country to rise up " by the group of authors Vo Manh Hung, Nguyen Hoai Nam, Doan Minh Anh - published on VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper won the B prize.
The series of articles presented in a special Mega Story format, emphasizes that besides the great achievements for the country's development from exploiting internal land resources, there is a sad reality that has existed for the past 20 years, that a lot of land areas (especially prime land) from North to South, from rural to urban areas, are being abandoned, wasted to the point of heartbreak!
Reality in recent times shows that across the country, there are millions of hectares of land allocated to forestry companies for management, but thousands of hectares are being used inefficiently; thousands of real estate projects "holding" land are "shelved"; many prime land plots are overgrown with grass, turning into illegal parking lots; some hospitals were invested by the State decades ago with the humanitarian purpose of "examining, treating, and saving people" but have not been put into use...
It is not only a “cancerous tumor” that causes a huge waste of land resources, blocking the “blood vessels” of the economy , but also affects the lives of thousands of people. Meanwhile, if land is used optimally and projects are implemented promptly, it will not only bring economic value, but also create changes in infrastructure; bring jobs and income to people; and increase budget revenue.
From the above wasteful and painful reality, the series of articles also mentions a series of fundamental solutions (from perfecting policy institutions to streamlining the apparatus of the political system) to quickly "unblock" obstacles, promote the value of the country's internal resources, so that the country can enter a new era of development: the era of the Vietnamese people's rise as the message of General Secretary To Lam.

Through articles presented in multimedia format, the series contributes to strengthening trust and creating high consensus and unanimity in the entire political system and people on the Party and State's policies and guidelines related to anti-waste. This is not only an urgent task but also the key for Vietnam to strongly rise up, become a developed, high-income country, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers as President Ho Chi Minh wished.
The above series of articles were published on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, once again affirming that each new policy of the Party on land brings great achievements to the country's development and improves the people's lives. Therefore, the fight against waste needs to be strongly spread, becoming an essential part of the lifestyle of each person, each family and the whole society; to build a sustainably developed Vietnam, worthy of the sacrifices and efforts of many previous generations.
According to the assessment of the Final Jury, this year's award has the participation of many central and local press agencies. Press works focused on timely and comprehensively reflecting the Party and State's fight against corruption, waste and negativity with the motto of perseverance, continuity, no forbidden areas, no exceptions.
In addition to works reflecting the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, reporters, journalists and press agencies have expanded the content and topics of reflection on preventing and combating waste under the direction of General Secretary To Lam, Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. Many works are of good quality, timely, highly discoverable, demonstrating the dedication of journalists, their determination, courage and endurance to endure pressure, the dangers that follow corruption, waste and negativity to the end. From there, they create journalistic works that create a ripple effect, a huge social impact, bringing about effectiveness and positive changes in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.

This year's award also recognizes works that reflect good people and good deeds in the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity. Veterans who fought and won in wars against foreign invaders are now pioneers and shock troops on the front lines, persistently fighting against corruption, waste, and negativity to build and develop the country, strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the State.
The works participating in this year's Award have been invested in by authors and groups of authors in terms of journalistic technology, presentation form, and diverse and vivid topics in the style and trends of modern journalism, reflecting quite comprehensively the determination of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front, the involvement of functional agencies, and the active response and participation of all classes of people in the fight against corruption, negativity, and waste from the Central to local levels.
Besides, according to the organizers, the works submitted for the award are also the crystallization of the hard work of journalists, overcoming all difficulties, pressures, and even dangers during the working process to have journalistic works with high fighting spirit and profound humanity.
