Hoan Kiem Ward responds to Vietnam Law Day 2025

The People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward has just organized a ceremony to respond to "Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam" and a conference to disseminate and evaluate the initial implementation of the Law on Organization of Local Government in 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward Nguyen Hong Trang said that in order to honor the position and role of the Constitution and law in life, the National Assembly has chosen November 9 every year as "Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam". Since 2012, Law Day has been celebrated with profound significance, arousing the spirit of respect for the law, building people's trust in justice and social equality.

Responding to this year's "Law Day", the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward has synchronously deployed many practical and lively activities, such as: Organizing a conference to disseminate the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations; disseminating the Law on Health Insurance; Compiling and publishing the leaflet "Learning about some regulations on local government in the ward", helping officials and people to easily access, understand and implement.

At the conference, Dr. Doan Thi To Uyen - Lecturer, Head of the Department of Administrative Law - State, Hanoi Law University conveyed important contents of the Law on Organization of Local Government in 2025.

The Law has clearly defined the position, functions, tasks and powers of local authorities at all levels; at the same time, it clearly distinguishes between urban and rural authorities, between provincial and communal levels, creating a legal basis for localities to be proactive and creative in managing and developing the socio-economy, ensuring national defense, security and social security.

The conference aims to help cadres, civil servants, propagandists, heads and deputy heads of residential groups grasp the new points of the Law, especially the provisions on authority, structure and operating principles of ward-level authorities; clarify the roles and responsibilities of the grassroots level, heads and deputy heads of residential groups in effectively coordinating the implementation of state management tasks, maintaining urban order, ensuring social security and grassroots security.
