Hoa Lu Sediments

The ancient capital of Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh) is a place where natural wonders and precious historical relics intersect. In the 10th century, Hoa Lu was the first capital of the centralized feudalism of Vietnam, associated with King Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh - national heroes in the cause of national unification and resistance against foreign invaders.

The rugged limestone terrain was utilized to build the citadel, creating a strong natural defensive wall. The Tran dynasty later established the Vu Lam royal palace here, which became an important resistance base.
