Thanh Liet Ward launched a peak month to support the "For the Poor" Fund

On the afternoon of October 31, Thanh Liet ward launched the Peak Month to support the "For the Poor" Fund and social security in 2025.

Promoting the tradition of solidarity, "mutual love", "helping each other" of the nation, in recent years, the "For the Poor" Fund of the commune and ward (before the merger) has always received support from the Party Committee leadership, the coordination of the government, and the active response of departments, branches, organizations, businesses and people from all walks of life.

The annual "For the Poor" Fund is used by the Mobilization Committee to visit and give gifts to households in especially difficult circumstances, families in sudden difficulty due to natural disasters, storms, floods, fires; support livelihoods, and support children in difficult circumstances to overcome difficulties and study well.

To ensure social security in the ward, on the occasion of the Month of the Elderly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Liet Ward coordinated with the Ward People's Committee to give 150 encouragement packages to the elderly in difficult circumstances...

At the program, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Liet Ward Ta Thu Sa said that in Thanh Liet Ward, there are currently no poor or near-poor households, but there are still many households with difficult housing conditions, needing support in means, livelihoods, medical treatment costs... needing the cooperation of the community, agencies, units, businesses, cadres, party members and people of all walks of life.

This year's peak month for the poor was launched in the context of the ward's people being merged from 7 administrative units, with a total population of 76,238 people, residing permanently in 31 residential groups.

The Ward People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Ward have developed a joint plan and an open letter to residential groups, the Front Work Committee, units, businesses, schools, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to respond to support the "For the Poor" Fund in the area. Up to now, the Fund Mobilization Committee has received 180,293,600 VND from units before the merger.

At the launching ceremony, representatives of Vuc residential group expressed their honor to participate in this meaningful program, affirming that the spirit of "helping each other" is always preserved and spread by the people.

Responding to the call of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Liet Ward, the Front Committee of the Residential Groups committed to propagating and mobilizing people and businesses to contribute to the "For the Poor" Fund, implementing transparency in support, and organizing many practical activities such as visiting, giving gifts, helping poor students, affirming the spirit of solidarity and affection to continue to spread, contributing to building a compassionate and sustainable community.
