47 presentations at the workshop on the role of the press in promoting the development of Khanh Hoa

On October 31, Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association organized a workshop on "The role of the press in the renovation period, promoting the socio-economic development of Khanh Hoa province to become a centrally-run city".

Attending the workshop were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province Lam Dong and Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South Tran Trong Dung.

Attending the workshop were more than 100 delegates from central agencies, representatives of departments and branches of Khanh Hoa province and representatives of 48 central and local press agencies residing in Khanh Hoa province.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association Doan Minh Long emphasized: The workshop is a forum for scientists, journalists, and managers to share knowledge and experience as well as opportunities to propose and make recommendations of scientific and practical value to enhance the role of the press in the development process of Khanh Hoa province in the coming time, contributing to the realization of the goal by 2030, Khanh Hoa will become a centrally-run city in the spirit of Resolution No. 09 dated January 28, 2022 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien said that the workshop was an opportunity for the press and media team to have positive objective information and a forum for information, thoroughly grasping the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, the State's policies and laws on the work of building and developing the economy, culture and society of Khanh Hoa province in the new period.

The workshop attracted the participation of experts, managers, journalists from all over the country and businesses. Many enthusiastic opinions were expressed in 47 papers sent to the Organizing Committee.

In his speech at the workshop, Colonel Truong Thanh Viet, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, suggested: "I hope the press will continue to strongly innovate communication methods and digital transformation; help train specialized collaborators to contribute to further improving the quality of propaganda on local defense and military tasks...".

Representing the business participating in the workshop, Mr. Ho Minh Chau, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of A+ Digital Technology Group, made a breakthrough proposal. Accordingly, the press will cooperate with digital businesses like A+ to innovate press information using digital technology, develop multimedia platforms to publish and disseminate information.

"A+ Digital Technology Group has prepared a web platform for 3,321 communes and wards nationwide to set up information channels and promote their own localities. Press agencies coordinate with localities to produce information and post it on these platforms, which will achieve more widespread propaganda effects, creating a digital ecosystem where technology businesses, press agencies and local authorities can together create new advances in digital age communication," Mr. Ho Minh Chau emphasized.

Representatives of two Hanoi press agencies attended the workshop. Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi, Editor-in-Chief of the Economic and Urban Newspaper, affirmed: Khanh Hoa is a dynamic locality, an economic, cultural and tourism center of the South Central region. The strengths of the locality will be affirmed and spread further when combined with the Central and Hanoi press agencies through press products and publications applying new technologies such as AI, big data... Taking advantage of this opportunity, Khanh Hoa can completely use the press and media as a strategic tool to contribute to comprehensive development.

Journalist Pham Tung Lam, Head of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, proposed: Hanoi Moi Newspaper wishes to coordinate with the government, agencies and businesses of Khanh Hoa to implement effective information routes on the formation and development of the province's four economic pillars, including: Industry, energy, tourism, urban - real estate in the process of striving for Khanh Hoa to become a centrally-run city by 2030.

Speaking at the workshop, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Tran Trong Dung commented: Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association was very quick and timely in organizing the workshop in the context of merging localities, merging press agencies - radio, television, journalists' associations; The draft revised Press Law is being considered and approved by the National Assembly... In addition to its current significance, the workshop is also a place to gather the intelligence of experts and journalists to discuss very specific issues, aiming at the press, government and businesses to develop together in the new era.
