Body of woman swept away by floodwaters found in Lam Dong

On the evening of November 1, Lam Dong provincial authorities found the body of Ms. L.Th.Tr. (51 years old, residing in Tan Duc village, Dinh Van Lam Ha commune) swept away by floodwaters.

According to initial information, at around 5:30 p.m. the same day, Ms. Tr. slipped and fell into a ditch on her way home from a party. It was raining heavily at the time and the rushing water swept the victim away.

The area where the incident occurred

People at the scene discovered the incident and shouted for help, but it was too late. At around 7 p.m., the victim’s body was found nearly 1 km from the scene of the accident.

Immediately after the incident, local authorities supported the victim's family in bringing the victim home for the funeral.

Previously, on the evening of October 27, floodwaters also swept away a woman in D'ran commune, Lam Dong, while she was on her way home from teaching.
