Lam Dong: National Highway 20 is flooded and cut off again after heavy rain

On the evening of November 1, National Highway 20, passing through Hiep Thanh commune, Lam Dong province, was flooded again after a heavy rain.

At the scene, the National Highway 20 section through Dinh An village, Hiep Thanh commune, about 1km long, was flooded with water about 50cm deep. To ensure the safety of people and vehicles, the authorities have regulated and not allowed traffic through the deeply flooded area. Cars can travel through Lien Khuong - Prenn expressway to ensure safety.

In the evening of the same day, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, combined with floodwaters from upstream Da Lat, the water level in the areas of K'Ren, K'Long, Dinh An villages (Hiep Thanh commune) rose rapidly, potentially causing deep flooding and landslides on slopes and passes, so the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune issued an urgent notice for people to proactively respond.

Many sections of water were flooded, overflowing into houses of people living on both sides of National Highway 20.

Previously, on the evening of October 27, National Highway 20 through Hiep Thanh commune was also cut off for many hours due to heavy rain causing flooding of the road surface.
